Powers and Abilities:

Light Manipulation: The power to manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum is at Misami’s fingertips. She has the skills at this point in time to use her hands to bend light, to cover up a small object. This ability can also be used to shortly blind people, although she never uses it in this fashion. She loves her abilities, but only uses them when necessary.

Energy Consumption: The amount it takes out of Misami varies on how much she tries to manipulate. Being able to manipulate the spectrum, she is able to even block out the light by shifting it elsewhere. This takes up almost all the energy she has, where as hiding a simple object, or creating a simple stationary illusion takes little amounts.

Weaknesses: Aside her lack of control, she needs major focus to create, let alone maintain any form of manipulation. Be it simple, or not. She is not very good at using her powers, or making it look like she isn’t doing anything. Even the slightest distraction, and her manipulation lets go, revealing anything hidden, or doing away with any form of illusion.

Shadow Manipulation: This is her lesser known, and less explored ability. This seems to take more on her dark side as she has the ability to make shadows into solid objects. This ability cannot be used in conjunction with her Light Manipulation abilities, and cannot used unless the darkness being manipulated is pitch-black in color, such as a person’s shadow.

NOTE: Manipulating someones shadow, not result in manipulating that persons actions.

Energy Consumption: very High. No matter how much, or little she uses this ability, it takes 5x as much energy for Misami to manipulate a shadow, then it does to manipulate light. It is because of this, and the dark nature of this video completely that she refuses to use this ability at ANY costs.

Weaknesses: This power is dark and vial. She cannot stand having such a vial ability, and thus refuses to explore its potential. Although it is way more powerful than her light manipulation, and can be used for offensive purposes. Misami is completely unable to use both forms of manipulation at the same time. If she wants to manipulate the darkness, she cannot be manipulating any light at all. This ability cannot be used at all when there is a large amount of light out, such as the Sun.

Appearance:

Misami-Chan has the appearance of your ordinary high school young teenager.

Facial Features:
Eyes: Misami’s eyes are wide and tinted with a light blue. Her eyes along with the expression on her face show her graceful innocents, and kindness. Her eyes are by far one of the first things about her you would be sure to notice.

Nose & Ears: Not much too really note on. Her nose is placed where it would normally be, with nothing really notable. Average size for her face overall. Same goes for her ears, which are normally hidden behind her hair.

Mouth & Teeth: Her mouth almost is always in the form of a smile. This is probably her second most notable feature to her. Along with this, she has white teeth. Nothing sparkling or outstanding, she takes good care to make her smile as beautiful and vibrant as she possibly can

Hair: The average run-of-the-mill pink haired anime girl is the best way to describe her. Her hair is long and flowing, and kept in a long pony tail. Although there are times where she does prefer to leave her hair hang out without tying it. Either way, her hair is her most prized personal possession.

Clothing:

Casual Attire: Her casual attire is that of your average teenager. What’s she wears varies on her mood., From pink and cute, to light blue, and casual. Overall, she has no favorite outfit, but is not above wearing the same cloths twice.

School Uniform: N/A

Personality:

Child-like: Her mentality is something like that of an eight year old child. Her innocents makes her think she is cute, and can get away with a lot…which she usually does because of how she uses her innocence to her advantage.

Highly Intelligent: Despite her attitude, she is really intelligent, although she is about a B average, she can sometimes make an A or three with little effort. Although she isn’t a genius, she does have brains.

Airhead: Contradicting the bit above, Misami can be oblivious to many things, making her believe she is a complete airhead, with no brains. This is only caused due to her child-like personality which often causes this.

Loving: She really does care a lot for those around her. It never fails to see her go out of her way to help someone out even if it results in her getting into a ton of trouble. She will also try her best to be there for those she cares about, be it a boyfriend, or a close friend.

Crybaby: Not much of a surprise when it comes to her personality. It doesn’t take a lot, but not getting her way is less common. A bruise, fall, or seeing someone get hurt, or someone just saying something cruel will cause her to tear up fast, and cry for hours.

Overly-Forgiving: She is too kind for her own good at times. Someone can bring her inches of her death, but if she survives, and that person apologizes, and doesn’t even mean it, she will forgive that person and act li9ke nothing happened. This makes Misami extremely easy to manipulate

Non-violent: She isn’t a fighter, she can’t hold a grudge no matter how much she tries, and she is a pushover and doesn’t do anything about it. She will not resort to any form of violence unless it is necessary. This includes using her powers to fight back.

Very Mysterious: Not much is known about Misami. Her outward appearances and attitude are quite real, yet there may be more to her then what people actually know. It is possible that she is somehow storing something inside of her that could one day be dangerous. What that is, is currently unknown.

Before Arrival:

It all started on Misami Hirokutora’s birthday. Everything seemed normal, her life was average, and she was one of the more popular girls in her class, although she refused to acknowledge she was THAT popular. Overall she was happy with how she was. She knew her birthday was fast approaching!! She would be turning 1 soon, and couldn’t wait. She was all excited about it. She couldn’t wait. And she couldn’t sleep either


At Midnight sharp that very evening, she woke up after having some sort of nightmare. When she turned on the light, there was a bunch of stuff thrown all about her room somehow. How this happened, she didn’t understand. It was possible this tied in with her dream where she was trying to defend herself, and threw random objects to do so. Looking around, objects seemed similar to what she was doing in her dream. She had no clue that this was all her doing. All she understood was that something happened, and she was afraid to find out what.

The very next morning was the day she had been so excited for. It was finally her 14th birthday!!! She told herself she would not allow anything to ruin such a day like today, so she went forth, and attempted to enjoy every moment of it. Although the nightmare, and the strange destruction she woke up to stayed with her all day, she maintained a smile, and her usual energetic domineer. Her day went by normally, nothing all that strange happening so she thought. But truth was every wave of her hand would warp the light around her. She wouldn’t notice such a stranger occurrence until it was time to open up her birthday presents. As she waved her hands in a clapping motion, that’s when she began to notice. She began waving her hand, wand watched whimsically as she made the light around her bend in amazing ways. She wasn’t scared of this ability, but loved it none the less.

Later that evening, she would learn the truth of what happened the last night. As she was finished playing with the light, she felt her energy go down, and was exhausted. She decided to spend a little bit of time under the night time stars. As she lay, she heard the sound of a wild animal in the distance. Just a stray cat, but it startled her, and caused something strange to happen. The stray cat was suddenly seen lifted in the air, and to top it all, she felt more and more of her energy being sapped from her. She started crying out and screaming, trying to let go of the cat. Both of her parents heard the screaming, and ran out to her. Her panicking became worst and she ended up grabbing a firm hold of her parents with the same type of grip as the cat. Her panic ended up shaking things around violently. As a result, she threw her mother clear through the house onto the other side. When she realized what had happened, she released it automatically, in an attempt to run to her injured mother.

Misami’s mother had her bones broken in 4 places in her left arm, 2 places in both her legs, but she would survive. The next day, Misami would spend her time crying, trying to figure out what she was, and how she could do this stuff. The light tricks were innocent and cute enough, but after what she did to her mother, she feared her other powers. She wasn’t sure how to handle things, she was afraid it would happen more, happen again, and continue to get worst. Her fear kept her awake every night for a week, until the day her mother was released from the hospital. Only a few knew of the events that occurred, The people outside her family who saw, avoided her and started to make fun of her., Her mother and father still seemed to care deeply for her even after all she had done. After a nice long talk, Misami was finally able to sleep, and return to normal.

[The Answers]

About five months have passed since Misami’s birthday in November. On an ordinary day, a strange letter was found among the Hirokutora family’s mail. The letter was addressed to Misami, which was a rare occurrence. When she opened it, she found out she was invited to A Place known as Blackthorn Academy, A school made just for people with powers like her. They were inviting her for the chance to learn to control her abilities, and develop them, as well as not need to fear them. Although this wasn’t something she wanted to do, her parents did agree, that at the start of the summer term, she would begin classes there. Misami was against it at first, but after some dwelling, she decided she would accept the invitation and attend.

Through the months that have passed since she discovered her powers, she has played with them some. Although she avoided any use during the night in fear of her devastating abilities, she did learn some extent on how to bend light properly to hide objects, and create simple illusions even if it did take everything she had to do so. And even through all the pain she had suffered from the moment she began attending after the discovery of her powers, she had continued to keep her same personality, even if she was still hurting inside from all that was said.

[The big farewell]

The time had finally arrived. The starting day of the Blackthorn Academy ceremony would soon begin., She wouldn’t be late. She was experiencing mixed emotions. Both of excitement, and that of being nervous. She wasn’t sure how things were going to go, or exactly what would happen, but was willing to give things a try. As she got off the bus., She took a deep breath, and walked onwards to her new school.
