Declan originated in France, where his family was (and still is) rather successful. He knew he was somewhat "different" by the way he was able to change into a wolf, but he has always had enough control over his "gift" that no one has ever noticed. He moved to the U.S. once he was 14, and attended the academy while his parents stayed back in France. Every summer he goes back for break to visit...
